The International Video Game Hall of Fame is having the Big Bang 2010 this Aug 6th-8th in Ottumwa, Iowa. They’ll be hosting Tournaments, Concerts and a LAN Party! Should be a great time and I’m very much looking forward to attending this event. IVGHOF has been working very hard to create the first museum of video games, and it’s actually happening. I’ll be donating a lot of personal equipment I’ve used over the years in competitions and also prizes I won. To show how I used to game back in 1999 when I started pro, I’ll be donating a lot of the equipment and PCs I personally used back then to compete at the highest level.
If you like the classic games you should definitely attend this event as they always have the great old arcade games you loved playing in the 80’s. Since I was born in ‘81 I was a big fan of a lot of these games growing up and remember playing Galaga, Mrs PacMan, and endless hours of pinball games. Definitely was a highlight in my life when I was just a kid.
So definitely come out to the Big Bang 2010 for some great gaming and be a part of the scene.

Fatal1ty Frags – 16th Frag – QuakeLive and HoN
QuakeLive & HoN
So if you didn’t know, these are the two games I’ve been playing a lot lately. I’ve always loved Quake and still do to this day. It’s one of those games where the gameplay never gets old and is always exciting to play with friends. I’ve also been playing a lot of Clan Arena lately. My setup right now is sensitivity 4.3 with no accel and at 500hz on my ms 3.0 intellimouse. I was using the MS 1.1se for a while, but like the stability of the MS 3.0 for rockets etc. I’ll keep going back and forth and eventually figure out which one I like the most, but for now its the 3.0.

Another game I’ve really been enjoying on the side is Heroes of Newerth. Really great game where you get to pick your hero and take on other heroes throughout the game. Its main focus is 5v5 with teams, where the goal is to take out each others towers and eventually destroy their base. With good teamwork and great hero selection to compliment each other, you can definitely run over your competition. Check out this Quad Kill I got the other day using Plague Rider. He’s more of a support unit and comes in to get the final kills. You’ll see me launch his Ultimate Ability and it bounces off the opposing team 7 times and does massive damage.
Check it out, And if you want to find me online, I’ll be playing some QuakeLive tonight on the LA Server and probably some HoN as well. Kind of bounce back and forth depending on the groove.

Fatal1ty Frags – 15th Frag – 3D Gaming
3D Gaming
Have you seen a movie in 3D yet? I saw Avatar & tons of other movies in 3D, and loved the technology. I’ve even been playing a lot of 3D games on my desktop, like Modern Warfare 2, WoW, HoN and few other titles. It’s been amazing! I love zooming in with scoped gun in MW2, looks so real. But, what’s next in 3D gaming?? Origin PC EON15-3D Gaming Laptop! That’s right, my partner has just launched and showcased their new bad-boy laptop at E3 this summer. So now you can travel around with a portable laptop and do all your 3D gaming with ease. I know they’re stoked about playing the new Medal of Honor on the 3D setup, and I plan on joining them soon on the battlefield.
My experience so far is that 3D gaming is definitely an enhancement to the gameplay and graphics. When I played single player MW2, I was in awe. I couldn’t stop playing the game and loved playing in 3D every second. Of course, I wouldn’t compete in 3D glasses right now, as the frame rate gets hurt a lot, but if your trying to just enjoy your experience on your PC playing games, this is definitely a great upgrade! When I was in MW2, walking in the mall to take out everyone, I felt as if I was really there. Was a feeling I’ve never felt before. Brought me one step closer to feeling as if I’m really in the game.
