Hey Fatal1ty, I’ve been watching you since quakecon 02. Truly one of my gaming role models. Now, in 2011, now that Razer has come out with the 3.5 G and 4G laser where you can adjust the lift off height, can you STILL say that Laser mice are still faulty? I have been looking at the Razer Imperator 4G, its a laser mouse that you are able to adjust lift off height, from 0 to 8 MM. I want full advice on this, hopefully you still check out posts :(.

It seems we play with similar sensitivities, I am using the ms wmo 1.1 (same 400dpi sensor as your ie 3.0), just wondering if i should open this mx518(newest version) box that i got for free, is it possible to get used to the mouse prediction in cs based games? i play cod: mw2 mostly

Man, I am so surprised you use mouse acceleration, it’s an untameable beast, I find it so unpredictable and hard to get used to. I’m much happier with a distance on my mousepad corresponding with a rotation of my character, but then I guess, you are the pro.

Some very interesting info Fatal1ty, but I do have a burning question:

What would be the drawback of increasing your dpi setting and decreasing your sensitivity? Wouldn’t this ultimately give you the same sensitivity but with more accurate tracking?

Keep it up with these kinds of posts! I believe that they are hugely beneficial to the gaming community and I think that every pro gamer should be communicating with their fans like this.

THanks for the good tips, i never liked mouse accel but now that you say i might give it a try and see, i disable it from windows operating system to make sure it is not present in the game , i wasn wondering how some of you can turn around that fast and aiming from door to door that fast..as i use very low sens but i set them individually for each weapon with some bind command, i think THEFATAL1 is a rare player that plays inverted mouse like i do, i noticed it from your ql cfg, i was looking how to increase my fps because i play from another system im not home for a while.I wonder were theyr inverted mouse habbit come from,me its because i played a game called zaxxon on colecovision when i was a kid, its a litle plane game and they tought it will feel more like the real thing but now im having my brain all inverted ..hehe

The ms 1.1se and ms 3.0 are both 400 dpi at 500 hz. my fatal1ty 2020 was 2700dpi, but i still used 400 dpi. just more consistent and more bandwidth. still though, optical being the better one of the two at 400 dpi.
