A few quotes from the review….

“When we look at the voltage regulation results, this is where the OCZ Falta1ty really stands out; it posts excellent results across the testing spectrum, even on the full system test.”

“Aesthetically speaking, the OCZ Fatal1ty 750W is a extraordinarily eye catching unit, and when plugged in, it lights up in a brilliant red. This is definitely a gamer’s power supply the way it is all dressed up.”

“The OCZ Fatality 750W comes with a price tag of approximately $120 USD, a reasonable price for this power segment. This is a very good all-around power supply for those users looking for a new unit.”

OCZ Fatal1ty 750 W Power Supply Review

After buying PC Power & Cooling, OCZ decided to keep selling power supplies without modular cabling system and with a single +12 V rail under that brand, and sell under their own brand only products with modular cabling system. Fatal1ty 750 W is, therefore, a unit with this feature.

Because of this new direction, OCZ discontinued their Fatal1ty 700 W unit, which didn’t have a modular cabling system and had a single +12 V rail. Even thought they share the same name both units are completely different internally.

Check out the great review from Benchmark Reviews.com.

“Performance on the Fatal1ty Edition modules is just as it should be. Messing with 1600MHz and 7-8-8-20 Timings can give a little boost on some applications from time to time.”

“The OCZ Fatal1ty Edition kit is very appealing. The black PCB, paired with a black heat spreader and a red Fatal1ty logo definitively makes people look at your PC. The product´s package is simple, yet ok for a memory kit. The memory even comes protected with a thin transparent plastic layer to avoid scratches on shipping (don´t forget to take it off before installation).”

“OCZ construction is definitively top notch. The heat spreader quality, overall design and the logos on it are just great. The smaller components soldered on the memory just show how good the quality is. You can also count on OCZ lifetime warranty and the great support at their forums to help you set or RMA a product.”

“The memory just works great out of the box after you set your timings and frequencies on your BIOS. There were no memory errors or any faulty DIMMs on the package, but I wouldn´t worry about that with the great OCZ support.”

Pros:

+ 1600MHz rating
+ Low CL7 latency at 1600 MHz (other timings remain at 8-8-26)
+ Lifetime memory warranty
+ Great Looking module design
+ Product Support from OCZ is the best
+ Low Profile Heat Spreaders won´t block CPU heatsinks

“The Silencer works through the use of two microphones built into the removable boom mic — one on the tip, another on the ear cup joint. The X-Fi Titanium sound card then takes the two signals, identifies the background noise, and filters it out of the outgoing audio signal, reducing the outside noise for those you are communicating with. Creative was kind enough to provide us with two headsets and two X-Fi Titanium cards, and we won’t deny it, the difference was clear.”

StokedGamer.com recently got their hands on the new Fatal1ty X-Fi Titanium PCIe Sound Card

“The PCI Express Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional Series sound card is the latest high-end gaming audio component from Creative Labs. Unlike the previous X-Fi line of sound cards the Titanium Series uses PCI Express technology to connect to your motherboard. If you have been wondering for years when the small PCI Express 1x slot would be put to great use look no further than Creative’s new sound card…

Particularly as a gamer it is important to pay attention to the Crystalizer, CMSS-3D, and Bass Boost. Turning these settings on for the first time may surprise you. A friend of mine who has been a gamer all of his life but too cheap to ever buy a nice audio card was shocked by the difference. Seriously these features alone make the [Titanium] worth it. It is much easier to hear all the chaos around you on the virtual battlefield…

I was pleasantly surprised by what a difference the [Titanium] sound card made [in Call of Duty4]. Gunfire and explosions sound incredible! Not only that, turning on CMSS-3D really helps when listening for enemy footsteps and grenades. Most of all I was impressed at how much the gameplay seemed to smooth out. The occasional jerky moments I would get during an intense firefight using the ASUS SupremeFX II card were gone. Instead, no matter what was happening on screen it was butter smooth. Nice!

As far as the sound quality is concerned [for Unreal Tournament 3]…well let me just say the word “Headshot!” never sounded so good. Epic Games has a tendency to work closely with Creative to offer gamers a unique sound experience. It is no different here. From the testing, the glitches which first occurred with X-Fi cards are gone. Enabling “Hardware Acceleration” was the cause of much grief when UT3 was first released. I can confirm that after hours of gameplay on many different modes that the X-Fi Titanium does not suffer from the same issues. To be honest everything worked perfect in this game.”

Shane of 97.1 FM’s PWNED RADIO got his hands on a pair of the Fatal1ty Gaming Headset and reviewed them live on the air…

“And the mic sounds really nice. The mic is crystal crystal clear on team speak you know when im playing a little counter-strike, or some quake, or even when you’re on world of warcraft. The mic clarity sounds great. And ill be the first to tell you, when I’m playing online and someone comes in with a crappy mic, it totally sticks. You gotta have a great mic. And when you’re on team speak or Ventrilo, guys are gonna mute you… Great great sounding mic. I’ve asked everybody in my clan to tell me feedback on how I sound, and much better than before…

Putting them on, first thing I notice, comfort. These headphones were so soft. You know, after you sit there and game for a while, your ears actually start hurting, the edges of your ears. These are like a really nice micro fiber suede type of material, really soft. It’s got the top cushion band as well, very very soft. In fact, they’re so light weight, and they felt so soft on my ears, I literally forgot I had headphones on…

Sound, now here’s something really nice… And I’ve gone through probably in the last two or three years, probably about six headphones. This one sounded absolutely the best, it was great. The treble, the bass and everything, came through perfectly…

So I’m gonna tell everyone, this is definitely something I enjoyed, I loved them. And here’s the nice thing about them… they’re $49. They’re not that expensive. I probably would have paid $100 for these… $49… complete complete buy, I say throw away your old headset, buy these, you’re not going to believe the clarity in the mic response, it’s a great great set.”
