Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel and partners will be in Dallas, Texas at QuakeCon from Thursday, August 4, 2011 – Saturday, August 6, 2011. Fatal1ty will be appearing on the main exhibitor gaming stage throughout the event to give attendees the opportunity to challenge him at QuakeLive in shoot-out exhibitions. In addition Fatal1ty will sign autographs and give away a ton of cool prizes from Fatal1ty partners. Fatal1ty will be giving away motherboards, PSU’s, headsets, soundcards, and a ton of swag. One lucky winner will even win the new Fatal1ty Gaming Desk. Attendees will also be the first to hear about new products from OCZ, Creative Labs, ASRock and SEI. See show times below…

QuakeCON is NOW!

August 12th-15th, every gamer that loves to LAN party will be at this event! That’s if he can get there. QuakeCON is a free event put on every year in August and it has been going on for over 10 years now. I started going in 2000, and have been going ever since. It’s a time where you get to chill with other gamers in the community and watch top professionals play, or just play with other regular joes who love fragging to their heart’s content. I go for one reason, to have a BLAST! I get to chill with friends and really let loose at this event. It’s not about being there for a tournament for me anymore, it’s more about being in the scene and just having a great time with other gamers. I LAN it up probably 6-10 hours a day in the BYOC and hangout with all the guys/girls all night partying it up.

So if you want to be part of a 3,000+ LAN party, this is the place to go! If you haven’t already signed up, they always do standby check-ins and it always seems like they have extra space, as many people who sign up, can’t always make it. I predict about 8,000+ people attending the event, and there will be tons of entertainment other than just gaming. Along with my partners, Creative, OCZ and Origin PC, I’m hosting a shoot out on the main stage Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so definitely come check it out and challenge me to a game of QuakeLive Clan Arena 1v1. I’m looking forward to another great QuakeCON and you should definitely try to be apart of it.

ps – If you want to pwn some noobs, I have a couple friends named Relic and Carnage who are just terrible at Quake, so all levels of gamers welcome :D

Ambassadors of Rock – Silent Auction

The Hard Rock Café is holding a VIP Party and Concert as part of its Ambassadors of Rock tour to celebrate the grand opening of its new location in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. Local and national celebrities will get the first official look at this 3-story venue that includes state-of-the-art technology at every booth, two patios overlooking the Strip and a 1,500 person concert venue. Chris Cornell will have a special 90-minute concert for the guests, and an amazing silent auction is being held to benefit Opportunity Village, a Las Vegas-based not-for-profit organization that serves men and women with intellectual disabilities. Opportunity Village is celebrating its 55th year of providing vocational training, social skills, job placement, respite and habilitation to more than 1,000 people a day. The men and women served by Opportunity Village are grateful to Fatal1ty for his support throughout the year.

Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel, the voice of a new digital world, was the featured guest of Fatal1ty Tech Talks on Intel’s main stage and at the OCZ stage at CeBIT 2009 in Hannover, Germany. With a cool and humorous vibe, Fatal1ty chatted about the latest Intel products and OCZ Fatal1ty products. He also talked about how digital technology influences the world and instructed consumers about how they can become more connected to the latest technology.

Lucky audience members had a chance to win the latest in technology including Fatal1ty memory sticks or OCZ flash drives. Additional prizes include the Creative Vado, a pocket video camera that captures your life and features one-touch uploading to popular social networking sites, along with performance proven Fatal1ty Gaming headsets with noise canceling microphones, equally perfect for gaming or just listening to music, both from Creative Labs. The E for All Expo is literally just around the corner and we’ve got quite the challenge for you guys.

Be sure to pump some iron and be at your physical peak because we are definitely going to test you. No one has done anything like this before. It will be the MOST AMAZING THING EVER. Alright, enough hype for our mystery booth activity. Just come by the booth to check out what the deal is…

Also, get your FPS skills up to par because Fatal1ty will be taking on challengers in a no holds barred, super mayhem, Quake 4 battle! Don’t worry if that sounds a little intimidating. We’re bringing back the famous Fatal1ty handicap wheel from CES which will give Fatal1ty numerous disadvantages to help level the playing field. Things like playing one-handed, viewing only 1 inch of the monitor, using melee weapons only, or the popular “Quake Hero” handicap should help bring an end to Fatal1ty’s skills…Well probably not, but hopefully it will help you get a few frags.

All this and so much more will take place October 3-5 at the LA Convention Center in sunny Los Angeles, CA. The Fatal1ty Brand is the official partner of E for All and is sharing the West Hall with some of the industry’s biggest names like EA and Microsoft.
